...the lausanne committee for world evangelization (LCWE) is arguably best known for its doctrinal banner, the lausanne covenant...produced by delegates of the 1974 lausanne conference under the keen guidance of theologian john stott, the lausanne covenant continues to stand the test of time, widely considered by thinkers and practitioners as the most important missions document of the past 200 years and adopted as a charter by christian communities and organizations throughout the world...if you're interested in reading the covenant, click this link:

...i'm excited by how the gathering's diverse demographics and strong emphasis on mentoring (vertical and peer) will play out against the canvas of lausanne's rich heritage, not only this year but also in the ones to come...experiencing these dynamics should be life-transforming as i participate as a representative of my japanese church, a church planter sponsored by asian access, and a delegate of the east asia region...
.
...with this excitement comes a deep sigh: during the gathering, claire will continue ministering on the local front...in a spirit of complementarity (using its plain meaning in this case), claire and i are most grateful to God for enabling us to be supportive partners who can stretch globally while serving locally...
