new life

since we've been in LA, we've been attending my (bobby's) home church: inland presb church

yesterday, we worshiped at the church claire called home before we married: new life mission church (fullerton)...

this closely-knit congregation meets in an old icehouse...kinda minimal and dark but the church did a great job making it cozy and inviting...



claire got to reconnect with some old friends, even her sunday school teacher when she was a high school student @ huntington beach h.s. (good job, tom!)

good friends like cathy ryu (with whom i went to college [UCLA])

...old church friends like the choi family: horatio, kim, and nathaniel...

...say kim chee, nathaniel!...

...and damon and young mi cha (sunday they both publicly declared their membership @ nlmc)...i became quick friends with damon while at gordon-conwell...damon, now the pastoral intern at nmlc, is one of the most encouraging and off-beat brothers i know...

...there were a handful of other friends with whom we spent time and through our fellowship God reminded us that friendships are such precious gifts from Him....let's all invest more in our friendships!
