...we've certainly enjoyed taking pictures and sharing them with you...we hope you're enjoying them as much as we are...that our japanese church members tell us consistently that we (okay, it's really just me: bobby) take an unusually high number of pictures speaks volumes about our photo-fanaticism...

...for those who are interested, this post is a random assortment of pictures that didn't "fit" in any post but nonetheless we want to share...it's a ryu-cycle (recycle) bin of images that will give you a glimpse of the culture and cool things we're experiencing in japan...

...like this 100-year plus old kimono...linens as living history...

...and organized neighborhood cleanups that not only showcase japanese harmony, but also make trash history...



...if you ever need a beverage or snack, don't fret...there are well-stocked vending machines on virtually every corner (ron: this one's for you)...

...compared to the vending machines, mcdonald's are harder to find...but they still have the same look...

...with a japanese twist on the standard menu, of course....anyone in the mood for a filet-o-shrimp?!? (actually it looks and smells pretty good tho we haven't tried one yet)...

...we've noticed unspoken generational lines, such as places where the men of the "silver generation" gather...

...and play japanese chess...

...we've also noticed spoken gender lines...

...with the promise of more to come, we'll end with one from us saying merry christmas from us to you!...

...yep, as some readers have noted, one of us is sporting a rice-bowl cut rather proudly these days...
