convergence

::: as asian access church planting missionaries, we serve with japanese christians who want to see churches multiply all throughout japan (www.asianaccess.org) ...as we engage fully in church planting, our japanese brothers and sisters know that we are supported and strengthened by family and friends in america (and asia)...in other words, our work is a genuine partnership between christians on both sides of the pacific blue...

...this partnership converges most powerfully in worship...when we come before God in spirit and in truth (john 4:24), we're reminded that God is the one who not only saves us in Christ but also calls us to serve with one another as the body of Christ (1 cor. 12:12-27)...

...bearing in mind this convergence of partnership and worship, it was sooooo wonderful to have two of our ministry partners -- solomon and laura -- join us for easter service at our small church in gakuentoshi (kobe), japan......with plenty of christian joy and curiosity about hawaii, our church members welcomed our friends with aloha warmth, esp. after sol and laura presented chocolate-covered macadamia nuts as o-miyage (courtesy gift or souvenir) during fellowship time...

...and although they couldn't understand what was being said during the all-japanese service, sol and laura shared that God stirred something deep in their hearts concerning the kingdom call to partner in the gospel, no matter where you call home...
