shortage
::: i just finished washing a mountain of dishes...we're exhausted from a night of meal-making and church hosting...but this exhaustion has a joyful hue to it...
...there was no shortage of food tonight, as claire and i tag-teamed to make a mexican-style donburi (rice bowl)...at least there should have been no shortage...stupid me, i mistakenly made the first six plates with big portions, leaving claire and me with little else besides rice, lettuce, a couple pieces of tomatoes, and a few crumblings of ground beef...
...though starving and disappointed by my doing, claire didn't grumble one bit...i said sorry, but i knew i didn't have to...tracking the same thought, claire and i agreed: more for everyone else...don-buri about it (i.e., don't worry about it)...
...how claire responded tonight to this shortage of food adds one more reason to my mountain of reasons why i have no shortage of love for her...
...now on to drying those dishes...
