..."this year i learned that you like to cook," she said with her smile that always melts my heart, "and you're mostly good at it!"...melting requires some heat, i suppose...

...after sharing a laugh on this, our seven-year anniversary, claire returned serve...

..."and how about you?"...

..."well, this year more than any," i replied, "more surprising to me than finding out that you clean around the clock (which, by the way, is essential in japan) is this -- you like movies!...you really do like movies!"

...praise God for deepening our now-seven-year-marriage through, hmm, cooking and movies this year...
