seasonal

::: almost as quickly as the flip of a calendar page, summer in kobe has turned to fall...

.

...given the element of homogenity that is a strong feature of japanese living, it's no surprise to see that -- for the most part -- the color needle of everyone's fashion compass has turned from summer's fruits to fall's foliage...

.

...we've embraced this seasonality with the spirit of a weary runner...whew, finally some relief from the stifling humidity!...as we say hello to fall's red maple leaves (with kyoto arguably having the best views) and rich array of foods, we say goodbye to some of best things about summer in kobe, such as evening fireworks, eating shaved ice, and enjoying talented musicians perform streetside...

.

.

...relationship building continues to form the crux of our ministry...every day has offered a range of connectivity that challenges us to love, listen and learn from friends familiar and new...God continues to pour out sufficient grace for each day and sprinke our hearts with ministry joy...

You all are very gifted bloggers.

And every time I see your pictures, it makes me miss y'all even more, even though we didn't get to spend a lot of time together.

All that to say... sending you love!
