...what happened tonight was something special...the i. family invited eric and sue (their neighbors), kari, megumi, and us over for a homestyle sushi-okonomiyaki dinner...making sushi rolls, sharing laughs, reliving their family albums...talk about something special...

...on the way there, claire and i sang worship songs, off key but on fire...one particular chorus of lifted us with hope: Lord we delight in your rule, your kingdom's advancing and Lord we are moving with you (the kingdom song)...on the drive back, as we reflected on the evening, we delighted more than ever -- in this season of our lives, this is why we are here in japan...to be part of seeing God move and add more japanese faces and families to His Album...partners, know that you are every bit a part of God's next-page-anticipating, album-adding work...
