momma's boy

...being home has been great for me and claire...home #1a is aliso viejo (so-cal) with my parents, gene and mary (pictured above)....home #1b is salinas (no-cal) with claire's parents, sam and sung kim...
...part of the joy we have been experiencing as we've been at home is hanging out with our parents and meeting their friends...claire and my mom love each other lots and really get along...that makes living together a whole lot easier....thank u God!....
earlier this week, God blessed us with wonderful times of prayer and fellowship with a group of grandmothers who are strong intercessors @ bethel korean church in irvine (pictured below; dad is taking the pic)...
....talk about quiet, humble heroes...these women have been meeting every day for years and years, praying for the needs of the church, praying for pastors and missionaries, and praying for each other....the leader of the intercessory ministry is deaconness yoo, an 82-yr old grandma who drives over 40 minutes by herself to the meetings each day...when she (and the others) sing hymns, their voices drip with faithfulness and fervency....
As to what they do each day...
"It is good to give thanks to the Lord, to sing praises to your name, O Most High,
to declare your steadfast love in the morning, and your faithfulness by night..." (vv. 1-2)
As to what they are as a result...
"The righteous flouish like the palm tree and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
They are planted in the house of the Lord; they flourish in the coruts of our God.
They still bear fruit in old age;
they are ever full of sap and green,
to declare that the Lord is upright;
He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him." (vv 12-15)
