Praying together

Dear family and friends,

As God continues to pave the way for our Nov. 2nd departure to Osaka, Japan, He continues to sanctify us and strengthen our ministry relationships. Join us in thanking God for His goodness, His governance, and His gospel. Thank you for your continued impact and investment in our lives. By God's grace and with your prayers, our language study has been going well, our funding level is nearly achieved, and our visa certificate and airfare have been secured.

Kindly keep us in your prayers using the suggested words of Scripture:

Centering:

Dear God, Bobby and Claire have a million things on their minds right now. In the midst of their busyness, draw them closer to You with meaningful times of Scripture reading and prayer. Help them to seek first Your kingdom and Your righteousness and thereby trust that all things will be given to them (Matthew 6:33). Remind them of Your sure call on their lives, and in turn, enable them to conduct themselves in a manner worthy of the gospel of Christ (Philippians 1:27). With Your Word, transform them by the renewing of their minds (Romans 12:1-2), so that they may go to Japan with the full measure of the blessing of Christ (Romans 15:29).

Studying:

Dear God, Bobby and Claire are trying to learn Japanese. It has been challenging for them. Please help them to study for Your glory (1 Corinthians 10:31). As You teach them to rejoice in You always (Phillipans 4:4), teach them also to trust that they can make good progress through You who gives them strength (4:13).

Training:

Dear God, this week Bobby and Claire begin training with other church planting missionaries at Asian Access's headquarters in Glendora, CA. Thank you for what You're doing in and through Asian Access. Continue to open their eyes to look at the fields in Asia and work in the harvest that is ripe (John 4:35). At this training, help the Ryus and the others -- the Muhlings and the Boehmes -- to mutually encourage one another (Romans 1:12) as iron sharpens iron (Proverbs 27:17). Knowing that it is You who works in us to will and to act according to Your good purpose (Phillipians 2:13-14), empower all those involved in this week's training to work out our salvation with fear and trembling (v. 13) and thereby do everything without complaining or grumbling (v. 14).

Thank you once again for your love and your investment in our lives. We invite you to give us an update on your joys and concerns.
