intellectual fri(endo)

...tonight we met up with ryo in sannomiya for dinner in what promises to be the beginning of a peer reading group...it was as if we were in graduate school again...you would think that the following topics would not make for good dinner conversation: abortion, over-population, the love of reading, the value and limits of skepticism, and the comparisons/contrasts between eastern and western view of jesus christ...ryo certainly made us think and stretch our minds, and, with his intellect and his affection for shusaku endo, we're gonna learn a lot from this brother in christ at gakuentoshi chapel...
