scripture to song

::: music being such a powerful vehicle for experiencing His presence and expressing His joy, like many of you i enjoy taking meaningful portions of scripture and putting them to music...we pray that this song taken from habakkuk 3.17-19 renews your appreciation for the beauty of scripture and encourages you to praise Him and seek His joy and strength whether you are experiencing bounty or barren times...

though the fig tree does not bud
there are no grapes on the vines
though the olive crop may fail
and the fields produce no food

though there are no sheep in the pen
there are no cattle in the stalls
yet my Lord i will rejoice in you

sovereign Lord you are my strength
you make my feet like a feet of a deer
you enable me to go on the heights

[based on habakkuk 3:17-19 (niv); b.r., 1997]
