Three glimpses of October's installment of Fun with Claire, our church's monthly ministry to neighborhood families. It is indeed that: the kids have fun, with Claire as the fun-master with lots of helping hands (thanks Yoko and Eriko!). With lots of activities prepared, we kept the kids way past our allotted time -- talk about antsy. The moms in another room, however, didn't seem to mind. As a church, one practical way that we can be God's blessing to our neighbors is by providing a place in which these busy moms are able to socialize freely with one another while their kids are learning in a safe, bright environment. Childcare for Christ, in other words. Bonds of trust and friendship are forming; that's been wonderful to see. They also enjoyed learning the English words to Silent Night and Joy to the World.
