ymca

...say "ymca" in the states and the village people often come to mind...say those four letters in gakuentoshi and another impression comes to mind...a respected institution and recognized community center...

...tonight, at the christmas chapel that the ymca holds annually for its staff and invited guests, eric takamoto preached the gospel good news of Jesus in japanese to a packed-room...

...though we could not comprehend his words, eric's love for the Lord and his gentle heart for the japanese people was apparent...

...we pray that God used eric's words and witness to bring many listeners to a saving knowledge of Jesus Christ...

...following chapel, the Y prepared a lovely meal...

...and a "lively" open-mic time...

...though most of the guests and staff tonight are not believers, we're thankful that God used eric to preach the good news of Jesus tonight and we trust that God's word will not come back empty (isaiah 55.10-11)...we're thankful that we can serve with the kokubu and takamoto families in gakuentoshi...

...tonight we got to introduce ourselves again to the ymca director...we pray that God will use our times with him to lead to a smooth and eventual transition of teaching duties (english classes) from eric to us...please join us in praying for God to allow this to take place...
