::: that's the adjective used to describe the first week in japan wherein three of the first five days of may are national holidays...this year was especially golden because the holidays landed on weekdays, wed through friday (may 3-5)...so all over japan, countless people made it a get-away weekend, going on trips, visiting family, shopping (huge sales abound), doing spring cleaning, and most importantly, taking some much needed time from work...

...serious sunday night blues, you'd think...not so for at least one of our church members, a company executive, who couldn't wait to go back to work..."one week rest is too long for me," he said with a straight face :::
