::: around this time of year, in every bookstore and stationery store, there are storefront kaleidescopes of schedule planners...a visual feast, there are gazillions of them in every color and style imaginable...

.

...it's a planner's heaven...

.

...with people so excited to use their new planners, i suppose it's only natural to schedule meetings to plan for the coming year...that's what consumed most of our weekend...while it was draining at times, on the whole, this weekend was significant in terms of our church community's vision for 2007...

.

...on saturday the three church planting teams of new community church gathered to talk about next...

.

...

.
...with a friend's generous help, i shared about what claire and i have been learning this year (the freedom of loving not out of cultural/language competency, but out of God's overflow)...

.

...

.

...the next day, after service our church discussed ways to reach not only our community, but our neighboring cities as well!...while we came to japan expecting to witness to many people, our church family continues to witness to us about expecting God to do marvelous things in japan...unfortunately, as a clear indication that we don't have sufficient "meeting stamina," claire and i totally started zoning out three-quarters into the four-hour meeting...
.

...

.

...praise God for inspiring japanese christians to use their new planners for kingdom purposes...

You're doing good to make it that long into a meeting. It's Japanese language overload!
