mondays with griff

...i (bobby) met up with griffith ahn (aka griff) at the corner bakery in brea...he and i have been friends for years, ever since he first came to inland presb church as a 7th grader, and i, a new christian, was his bible study teacher...as he moved up in grades, i stayed with him as his teacher....griff went off to john hopkins and did well...but God put ministry on his heart...
...now, griff is the jr high pastor at inland, fresh off finishing a degree program in worship leading @ azuza pacific university and ready to start seminary next spring @ westminster (escondido)...i am super proud of griff and care for him so much...while i used to be one teaching him stuff, now i (and his 80 or so jr high students) learn so much from him and his walk with the Lord, his desire to grow and mature in godliness, and his faithfulness to the family at inland...whenever i think of griff, one of the passages that comes to mind is 2 Tim 2:15:
Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.
...after exchanging hellos and hugs, i asked him: "so how was your morning?"...griff: i got up at 5am for an hr of morning prayer, then he and the college pastor and some college kids worked out and practiced tae-kwon-do for another hr, and then he spent the morning reading for perspectives class...u see what i mean about learning so much from him?....griff loves God and he goes all out for God...how awesome is that to see in a guy in his mid-20s?...praise God for what he's doing in and thru you, griff!...i love ya brother!
