"Jello"

.
.
We had the pleasure of hosting Jeremy and Elliott this week.

.
.
Jeremy + Elliott = "Jello" because they're smooth (way cool guys), jiggly with energy and enthusiasm and always make get togethers more fun! . .
.
.
They were such troopers! They ate and did anything and everything!
Below is a brief summary of our eats and meets, but the best times were the in-betweens.
.
.
They had great questions that challenged me and Bobby to reflect, reiterate and reaffirm God's work in and through us. Their fresh perspective and youthful passions inspired us as we got a glimpse into what the future could hold if all young people had such fervor and love for the Lord.

.
First day after arriving, a not-so-easy hike up Mt. Rokko with some church friends.

After the grueling hike, hanging out with our friend T who's interested in learning more about God. We ate all things chicken at a "yakitori" (grilled chicken) place nearby.

Jello went with Bobby to two local universities where they performed a rap song they had written for this trip. J-Kidd, L-Kidd--you rocked! The college students loved them! .

A "shabu-shabu" party in Jello's honor.

They even took a 2 1/2 hour (one-way) trip to visit some of my (Claire) students: Yuko and Takumi (aka Dancing Boy) at their university, where of course, Takumi taught them the 6-step in break dancing.

Not only can they eat, but they can cook! They made us "za jiang mian", Jeremy's family's secret recipe. It was "oishii" (delicious)!!
.
.
... .
.
They also got to check out a nearby junior high school where our friend Yuko (who also happens to be Jeremy's friend from college-small world!) teaches.

They left us with many good memories, an original rap they wrote for us, and a sweet card with an appearance of Bobby's favorite guy (hint: named after the city we live in)

We miss you Jello!
