courting
::: last weekend a new local mall, perched on a hillside overlooking our ever-expanding city, opened its doors to the masses...wanting to escape today's stifling afternoon heat, claire and i decided to have lunch at the food court...

...we were curious to see the variety of food shops in the area called "the delicious forest"...in the states, a mall food court typically offers this cast of characters:
- mcdonald's
- panda express
- salad/sandwich place
- cinnabun or mrs. fields
- sbarros
- taco bell
- hot dog on a stick
...granted they're not gourmet, but at least varied...at the delicious forest, the following is offered:
- curry
- okonomiyaki and noodles
- more curry
- ramen
- rice bowls
- hot dogs and sandwiches
...craving it, we went with the curry...but being in a food court, i couldn't help but think about the last globby, gooey cinnabun i ate...

...over curry and rice, we heard the laughter of children...we couldn't help but notice how many kids and moms there were in the food court...the mall designers were smart to put a play zone right next to the delicious garden...we talked about the blessing of kids, how we pray that God would bless us with children, and how kids could help us better connect with japanese mothers...

Hello Bobby, and Claire!
This is a really excellent site, I was so encouraged reading through every single page of it. Thank you again for your blog, I really was encouraged reading through all of it and gained so much information and perspective on ministry in Japan. My prayers are with you.
