messy

::: we continue to spend lots of meaningful (and messy) time together -- most sundays after service -- as a church family...relational connectivity lies at the core of christian living...

...ditching the idea of buying bentos (boxed lunches) at the adjacent supermarket, today we decided to get messy together...fostering community comes at the cost of convenience, right?...

...dusting off our table-top appliance, we all got busy in the kitchen and made tako-yaki (think: piping hot nests made of flour, egg, and cabbage, then filled with octopus (tako), ginger, green onions, and, in our case today, hot dog pieces and cheese)...we all had our duties...

...izumi's duty: decapitate octopus, chop the hot dogs, slice the cheese...

...my duty: shred cabbage; claire's duty: dishwashing...

...minoru and yoko: fry (yaki) the tako...

...mikiko's duty: relax and eat...it's your birthday!!!...btw, i love that cutie in the background!

...getting messy after church...wouldn't have it any other way...
