appetite
::: in our region (kansai), relatively few churches dot the massive urban belt stretching (east to west) from osaka-kobe-kyoto...this scarcity places a premium on consistent christian fellowship and mutual encouragement...
...in our relationships with fellow christ-followers, we notice a consistently strong appetite for regular fellowship and gathering...this appetite -- a refreshing pointer to God's design for us to be in community with one another -- resonates in hebrews 10:24-25 (esv):
and let us consider
how to stir up one another
to love and good works,
not neglecting to meet together,
as is the habit of some,
but encouraging one another,
and all the more
as you see the Day drawing near.
...happily, this appetite for regular meeting and fellowship coincides with our insatiable appetite for japanese food...today, we spent meaningful time with eriko, a dear church friend, who is our guide to good cheap eats in and around gakuentoshi, a real-life zagat survey, if you will...eriko introduced us to tori-dooru (a popular chicken joint)...
